Philosophy

The Tennessee Technology Center at Pulaski (an accredited member of the Commission on Occupational Educational Institutions) recognizes the fact that many student are not able to attend school due to lack of financial assistance. It is the philosophy of TTC-Pulaski, that no qualified person should be denied the opportunity of an education provided the need is determined to be real and the student is willing to cooperate with the Financial Aid Office.  The Federally funded student assistance programs and TTC-Pulaski assume that the student and his/her parents have the primary obligation to finance the education of the student.  When this responsibility has been met, financial aid programs can assist the student in meeting his/her need.

FINANCIAL NEED DETERMINATION

Most federal student aid is awarded on the basis of financial need.  Need is the difference between your cost of education (such as tuition, books, supplies, transportation, and other expenses) and an amount you and your family are expected to contribute toward your education.  Determination of a student's financial need is provided through the Federal Need Analysis Methodology.  Three to four weeks after submitting a financial aid application, a Student Aid Report will be mailed to you indicating eligibility.  The Student Aid Report should be presented to the Financial Aid Administrator to determine your award.
