   Practical Nursing is a course designed to prepare students through classroom and clinical training to be productive members of the health care team. A high school diploma or GED is required. Applicants must have good mental and physical health, high moral and ethical standards, and an interest and aptitude for the occupation. The length of the course is approximately 12 months. Instruction and skills practice includes giving prescribed medicines, obtaining vital signs, complete bedside care and treatments. Practical nurses assist physicians and registered nurses in patient care. Course content provides necessary information to successfully pass the NCLEX to become an LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse).

* Approximately $4,000.00 is needed throughout the year for textbooks, tuition, uniforms, standardized tests, State Board application fee, and graduation expenses.   Miscellaneous  personal expenses such as transportation and meals will also be needed.

Practical Nursing Applicants

"Criminal background checks may be a requirement for training at some affiliated clinical sites. Based on the results of these checks, an affiliated clinical site may determine to not allow your presence at their facility. This could result in your inability to successfully complete the requirements of this program. Additionally, a criminal background may preclude licensure or employment. More information is available from your program director.

 

Tuition/fees for students attending full- time (432 hours per trimester = 4 months) is $662

Tuition includes $67 access fee
